Whynotte Park

Whynotte park boards_1-1_230808_171624.jpg

A big thanks to the wonderful, hard-working team of residents around Whynotte Park (corner of Umhlanga Rocks Drive and Kenneth Kaunda Rd) who have banded together to uplift and improve the area for all our residents. You guys are amazing!!!.

Together with the Parks Department, our Ward Councillor Shontel de Boer, The Ward 36 Ward Committee, Smile and Wave, security companies and surrounding businesses and clubs they have embarked on an ambitious project to put our community footprint back on this central park in Durban North.

Please offer your help where you can. As you can see, funds have been spent on securing the area with bollards, but there have also been many skips of rubble, litter, and refuse  removed. There have been meetings with Ward Councilor, CPF, Land Invasions, Parks Department, and Metro to work together and make this a safe, welcoming place where everyone feels welcome. But there are still many plans, and upkeep will be ongoing.
